Booking the best vacation property experience:

Finding the best rental value:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Book your Myrtle Beach vacation in Fall or Spring months to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, travel guides have deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Narrow your Search:

  • Select vacation week and spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration you need. First Floor End Unit Excellent Condition Shipwatch Pointe 2 M105 Walk to Beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you book the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is best for your vacation.
  • If your group is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Have a great stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
  • Upon arrival, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great feedback to stimulate new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
