Tricks and tips to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Select vacation week and spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. West Hyde Park 13B in Kingston resort,Pools, Beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
- Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Request details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
- Record any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peace. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a wonderful stay? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
