Myrtle Beach rental booking tips and tricks:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Reserve your rental home in the Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides that include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Choose your vacation week and budget.
- Two 2BR\/2BA Suites has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking pages. If not, call the property management company before reserving the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what is suitable for your group.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Is your family looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
Some things to know before you go:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would back home.
- Record any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to stimulate future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
