Tips to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to go & When to book:
- To get the best rental home for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities.
- The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have coupons for local tours and attractions.
Planning, selecting, and booking yourvacation home:
- Select dates and maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. ???? Amazing Luxury Direct Ocean Front 1BD\/1BA, Modern Decor. Great Location! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available online. If not, email the property management company before reserving the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what configuration is optimal for your vacation.
- Are you visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges may be applied to your agreement.
Some things to know before you go:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
- Record any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to compel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
