How to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to go & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Filter your rental search:
- Choose vacation dates and max budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Beautiful condo in a private community + Free Attraction Tickets! has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before you reserve your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your group.
- Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of issues.
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would back home.
- Note any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your life at home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a wonderful time? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
