Tricks and tips to get the very best rental experience:

When to book a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:

  • To find the best value, change your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting the perfect vacation home in Myrtle Beach:

  • Choose your vacation week and spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Beautiful condo in a private community + Free Attraction Tickets! has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is regularly available online. If not, reach out to the property owner before you reserve your home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or might be applied to your agreement.

Tips for a great stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Document any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many problems.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to propel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
