The Space:
There’s plenty to do at Harbour Lights without even venturing to the close by Grandiose Strand–the local term for the 60+ miles of beach that stretch from Myrtle Beach nearly to Charleston. Bicycle or walk along beautiful winding pathways, past lakes where anglers can cast a line. Grab a float and work on your tan as you passively glide along on the resort's lazy river. Savor a invigorating dip in the infinity-edge pool, and grab a refreshment at the poolside snack bar afterwards, or savor a relaxing hot tub soak. There are even mushroom fountains and a kiddie pool just for the kids to appreciate! The resort also has an activities program for kids that will help keep them entertained, too.

Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have discounts for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Filter your rental search:

  • Begin by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Harbour Lights Resort - Hotel Room has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the host before you book the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges might be applied to your contract.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you crave, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Tips for your stay:

  • Get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
  • Upon arrival, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to drive future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
