Myrtle Beach rental home tips:
Money saving strategies:
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, shift your vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
- The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Make a plan and pick a perfectvacation home:
- Choose vacation week and max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Charming Ocean View 3BR Condo on the 10th Floor has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is optimal for your vacation group.
- Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or could be applied to your invoice.
Tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Upon arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a wonderful time? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
