Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • To find the best rental within budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.

Make a plan and pick a perfectvacation home:

  • Begin by choosing your trip dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. Wave Washed Oceanfront Three Bedroom: 8th Floor has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property owner before you reserve the property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Note any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
