Strategies for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

How to get the best value:

  • The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal SC. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Make a plan and choose your prefectvacation home:

  • Select your vacation dates and budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Coastal Comfort : Oceanview Mini Suite 3rd Flr has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available online. If not, reach out to the property owner before you book the property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a single event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • During arrival, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
