Tips to get the very best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

When to book a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:

  • To find the largest vacation home within budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing and booking yourvacation home:

  • Start by choosing potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Honeymoon Suite, Direct Oceanfront Suite, Pools! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or could be applied to your invoice.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Upon check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on great ratings to stimulate more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
