Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Getting the most from your spending budget:
- Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the most suitable vacation home within budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Finding the best vacation home:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation week, and choose a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. OF 3 BR Condo-Your Beachfront Paradise 9th Floor has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before you reserve the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges applied to your contract.
Tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
- To make certain damages are not attributed to your visit, record any problem areas during arrival. text the property manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a wonderful vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
