Strategies to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, shift your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Property managers usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning, selecting, and booking the perfect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Start by choosing a vacation week and a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. 4 bd\/ 4 ba Home in Ocean Lake. Golf Cart included. has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available online. If they are not listed, call the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what is best for your trip.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges applied to your agreement.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
- Upon arrival, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to propel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
