Tricks and tips to get the very best rental home experience:
Getting the most from your rental budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Reserve your rental property in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Narrow your Search:
- First, have your family choose dates and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. Elegant Space: Jr Cabana Ste Oceanfront 1st Flr has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before you reserve your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
- Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
- Does your family require specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Add the owner's phone number to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many difficulties.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
- At Check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a great time? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
