Booking the best rental home experience:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the largest rental home within budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose and book your Myrtle Beach rental:

  • Select your vacation week and budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Southern Comfort: Oceanview Mini Suite 1st Flr has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Know before you go:

  • Get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • During arrival, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to propel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
