Tips and Tricks to get the best rental experience:
Finding your perfect vacation home:
- The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- To find the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies typically offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Filter your rental search:
- Begin by choosing trip dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Ocean View Suite at Family Friendly Resort + Onsite Pool has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before booking your rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Tips to have a wonderful stay:
- Add the owner's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of problems.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Document any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to compel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
