How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Getting the best rental home value:
- Reserve your rental property in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain discounts for nearby tours and attractions.
Planning and picking the right Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Choose a group leader, select your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. 1 Bedroom in a 57 Acre Gated Resort + Official On-Site Rental Privileges has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible online. If they are not listed, email the property manager before you reserve your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what bed configuration is right for your trip.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
Additional considerations:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. message the rental manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and look for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a great vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
