Tips to get the best vacation home experience:
Finding the best rental value:
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. Book your vacation home in Fall or Spring months to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.
Choosing and booking the best Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Start by having your group decide on date ranges and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. 11th-floor ocean-view studio with AC, WiFi, pool & hot tub - snowbird-friendly has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before reserving the home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is optimal for your group.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you love, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or could be applied to your invoice.
Have a great stay:
- We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
- Note any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of issues.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- At departure, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property one final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a terrific stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
