Myrtle Beach vacation rental tips:

Money saving strategies:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
  • Some owners offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Finding the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:

  • Select a group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. 11th-Floor, Oceanfront, Snowbird-Friendly Studio w\/AC, WiFi, Shared Pool\/Hot Tub has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property manager before you reserve your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or could be applied to your invoice.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

More tips for your visit:

  • Get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Make a record of any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if a dispute is filed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
