Myrtle Beach rental booking tips and tricks:
When to book & When to go:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to select the best vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- First, have your family select trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. 14th-floor ocean-view studio with pool, hot tub, WiFi & gym - snowbird-friendly has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property manager before booking the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
- Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Additional considerations:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would back home.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the property manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- At departure, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental one final time and scan for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to compel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
