Tips to get the very best rental experience:
Getting the most from your spending budget:
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, try shifting your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property management companies often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Finding the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Begin by choosing vacation dates and a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 14th-floor ocean-view studio with pool, hot tub, WiFi & gym - snowbird-friendly has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is best for your vacation.
- Looking for unique amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Speak to the host right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many problems.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property a final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to drive future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
