Tips to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Sticking to a spending plan:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Selecting the best vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose your vacation dates and budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. 17th-floor oceanfront condo with pool, hot tub, WiFi & beach location has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible online. If not, email or call the property manager before booking the home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is best for your vacation.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of concerns.
- Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
- To make sure no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the host right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on great ratings to inspire more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
