How to find the best rental experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, change your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides contain deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

How to select the perfect vacation home:

  • Select vacation week and max budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 17th-floor partial ocean-view snowbird-friendly condo with AC & W\/D has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking pages. If not, email the property owner before you reserve the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Tips for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • At Check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a wonderful stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
