Strategies to get the optimal rental experience:
Sticking to your budget:
- Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To find the largest rental for your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Filter your rental search:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and choose a budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. 19th Floor Brighton Spectacular Veiws has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking websites. If not, email the property manager before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what is right for your group.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or charges might be applied to your invoice.
More tips for your visit:
- We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- During arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental while you're away. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a terrific stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
