Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Finding the best rental home value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To find the best value, try changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Narrow your Search:
- To start, have your group select dates and a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. 1br Deluxe Condo on Shores of Myrtle Beach! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property manager before you book the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your trip.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- If your group is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
Some things to know before you go:
- Add the host's contact information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Document any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to stimulate more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
