Tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Sticking to your rental home budget:
- Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in the Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers often offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides that include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning, picking, and booking the right Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Choose your dates and maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. 1BR-Direct Oceanfront,Updated,Pools @ Coral Beach! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property owner before reserving the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Make a record of any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many difficulties.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
