Booking the best vacation rental experience:
Finding the best rental value:
- The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the most suitable rental for your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have discounts for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Select vacation week and maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Oceanfront\/Poolfront Condo in Myrtle Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the host before booking the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is optimal for your group.
- If your group is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
More tips for your stay:
- Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
- Record any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if there is a dispute.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to stimulate new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
