Strategies for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To book the most suitable rental within your budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning and choosing a perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Begin by selecting your a vacation week and a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. 1BR Dunes Village RESORT, TWO WATERPARKS on OCEAN! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible online. If they are not listed, email the property owner before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is optimal for your group.
- Are you looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- At departure, take a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
