Myrtle Beach rental booking tips:
Sticking to a spending budget:
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, consider changing your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property management companies typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby tours and attractions.
Planning, picking, and booking yourrental:
- Start by selecting vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. 2BR\/2BA 15th Floor Penthouse, 10ft Ceilings -this view is out of this world!! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before booking the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or might be applied to your contract.
Tips for a smooth stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Upon check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a great time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
