Tricks and tips to get the very best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is a good way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Some hosts offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
- Property management companies typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose the perfect rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose dates and spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Steps from the beach - Completely renovated Modern, 2b\/2bath - 2 Pools has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible online. If not, email or call the property management company before booking your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you crave, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
Some things to know before you go:
- We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Make a record of any issues with the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if there is a dispute.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few concerns.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to stimulate new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your review find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
