Strategies for getting the perfect rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- To find the best value, change your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Booking websites typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have coupons for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Start by selecting trip dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Ocean View Ocean Forest Plaza w Balcony has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the property owner before booking the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
- Does your group require particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or costs applied to your agreement.
More tips for your visit:
- Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- At Check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of issues.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible resource to find the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to stimulate future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review.
