Tips to get the best vacation home experience:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To find the largest rental for your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Planning, picking, and booking a perfectrental home:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and choose a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. 1BR Ocean Forest Plaza Condo W Beachview ???? Pool ???? has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible online. If they are not listed, call the property owner before you book the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.

Additional considerations:

  • Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the host immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of concerns.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and scan for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
