Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Reserve your rental property in Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guides contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Selecting the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Select your vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. 1BR Oceanfront Cozy Upstairs Level has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your family.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Does your family require special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many problems.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
- At Check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible source for finding the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a great time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
