Tips and Tricks for getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Sticking to a spending plan:
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain offers and deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Filter your rental search:
- Start by having your group choose dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 1BR Oceanfront Cozy Upstairs Level has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, contact the host before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what is suitable for your family.
- If your family is traveling with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you are enamored with, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
Considerations for your stay:
- Add the host's contact info to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
- To make sure that damages aren't linked to your visit, note any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the host immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a excellent time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
