Book early; this fills fast. The resort is 1 big block (around 1/2 mile) from Broadway at the beach so we go there every nighttime. The teenagers even walk there. We take our bicycles and go bicycle riding every year. Myrtle Beach is a fun place to ride. The beach is 3 blocks. We always go down to A1A and make a left and look for the public access signs. Framed by towering pine trees, Sheraton Broadway Pltn gives a feeling of seclusion. Yet you're right in the heart of all the action - just across the street from famed Broadway at the Beach and roughly one mile from the ocean. Myrtle Beach offers a diverse array of activities for the whole family. Explore unspoiled beaches, amusement parks, water parks, state parks and museums. Tee-up on world-class golf courses, go fishing or sailing. Take in top-notch entertainment in the many dinner theaters. And of course, you'll want to make time for some serious shopping.
You are in the heart of Myrtle Beach. The choices are nearly countless. My personal tip: Try Rios Brazilian Steakhouse. It's magnificent. My friends tell me that Gauchos is also very good but STAY AWAY from Charcoals (connected to Kansas City Prime) it was one of the worst vacation experiences we've ever had. Please see photos. Our top Rental home booking tips and tricks:
Money saving strategies:
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, try changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Planning and choosing a perfect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Select vacation dates and spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. 1Br Sheraton Broadway Myrtle Beach Sleep\/4 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available online. If they are not listed, email the property owner before you book your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
- Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.
Know before you go:
- Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
- At Check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on good ratings to stimulate more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
