Tips to get the best vacation rental experience:

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guides have deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Planning, selecting, and booking your Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Begin by choosing your trip dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. 2023 duplex with screened patio - dog-friendly - near golf\/beach has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible online. If not, contact the property owner before you reserve the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or costs might be applied to your contract.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • During check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to stimulate future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
