Tips to get the very best rental home experience:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • To get the best vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
  • Some owners offer special rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to select the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • Select a group lead, select your dates, and choose a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. 20th-floor partial ocean-view condo with W\/D, pool, hot tub, & AC has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property management company before you book the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is suitable for your trip.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.

More tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of problems.
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Note any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to inspire future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
