Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, try changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for local tours and attractions.

Finding the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:

  • First and foremost, have your group choose a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Bluewater Resort 1204 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before you reserve the rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

More tips for your stay:

  • Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • To make sure no damages are linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Call the host right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
