How to find the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Find your best deal:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, consider shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain money saving offers on local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Selecting and booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Gorgeous Intracoastal Waterway Views Central has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property management company before you reserve your rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your vacation family.
- If your group is bringing pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a single event? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More considerations for your visit:
- Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many problems.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- Make a record of any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to stimulate new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
