Tricks and tips for getting the perfect rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to select the perfect rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and select a budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Amazing cute & cozy condo in the center of MB has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible online. If they are not listed, call the property management company before reserving your home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation family.
- Does your family require specific amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.
More tips for your stay:
- We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- During check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your life at home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- On check-out day, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to stimulate future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
