How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:
- Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines have deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Choosing and booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Select dates and budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Amazing cute & cozy condo in the center of MB has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your group.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you love, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
- If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
Some things to know before you go:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
- At Check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of problems.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- On check-out day, take a walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a fantastic time? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
