Tips for getting the perfect vacation home experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Planning and choosing a perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Start by selecting trip dates and a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. 2br Deluxe Condo Fun in the sun on Myrtle Beach! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before booking the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
- Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
Have a wonderful stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the property manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to drive future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
