Myrtle Beach rental home tips and tricks:
Finding your perfect rental:
- Book your vacation in Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain deals for local tours and attractions.
Planning and picking the rightvacation home:
- Start by choosing vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. 314 Renaissance Towers MB Resort has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you love, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
More tips for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
- During check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of concerns.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a wonderful vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
