Tricks and tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain coupons for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
How to select the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 3rd-floor ocean-view studio with WiFi, AC, pool & hot tub - snowbirds OK has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the property manager before booking the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what is optimal for your vacation family.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
During your stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your .
- Record any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of concerns.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental one final time and look for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a excellent vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
