How to book the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, change your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
  • Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • To start, have your group decide on dates and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Just steps to the beach. Walking distance to the Beachfront Restaurant! has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before booking your rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what is suitable for your vacation family.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

More considerations for your visit:

  • We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!

  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a great time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
