Myrtle Beach rental booking tips:
Finding your perfect vacation home:
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation in Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Some owners offer rate reductions for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Make a plan and choose the best Myrtle Beach rental:
- Choose your vacation week and budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. 3rd-floor oceanfront studio with pool, hot tub, & AC has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before you book the rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.
Know before you go:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
- Note any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if there is a dispute.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
- Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take video of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a terrific time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
