Tips and Tricks to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Finding your perfect rental:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best rental for your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants.
- The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines contain money saving offers on local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to choose the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Select vacation dates and budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. 422 small steps to the ocean! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before reserving the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.
More tips for your visit:
- Get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the host immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of issues.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
- Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a terrific vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
