Strategies to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To find the best value, try changing your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
- Some property managers offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Property managers usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides have offers and deals for local shops and restaurants.
Finding the best rental:
- Select a group lead, choose your dates, and choose a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. 4th-floor ocean-view studio with AC, pool, hot tub & WiFi - snowbirds welcome has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before you book the vacation property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you love, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
During your stay:
- Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
- Upon check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a terrific stay? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
