Tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the most suitable rental within your budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property managers frequently offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides have money saving offers on local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

How to select the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:

  • First and foremost, have your family choose a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Ocean View Studio King Suite Boardwalk Resort Unit 540 Sleeps 2 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property manager before booking the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what is best for your family.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.

Advice for your stay:

  • Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Upon check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to drive future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
