Tips to get the very best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Getting the best value:
- To get the best value, consider changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property management companies usually offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides have money saving offers on local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Filter your rental search:
- Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. 5 Star Beach Condo With a Spectacular View! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property owner before booking the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
Advice for your stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Document any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if a dispute arises.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a terrific vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
