How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- To get the largest rental home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning and picking the perfectvacation home:
- Start by choosing your vacation dates and a max budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Resort Amenities, Pickleball Courts, Fast Wifi & more! Low Winter Rates!! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before you book the home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
- Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
Know before you go:
- We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few problems.
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- To make sure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Contact the rental manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a fantastic time? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
