Our top Rental booking tips and tricks:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. Book your vacation in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers usually offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have deals for local shops and restaurants.
Make a plan and pick your prefectrental:
- Select your vacation dates and max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Stunning Renovations-LED Fireplace and more! Meridian 503 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, contact the property management company before you book the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or charges could be applied to your contract.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
More tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- To make sure no damages are linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. text the host right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a terrific vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
