Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Get the most from your rental budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the most suitable rental home within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants.
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
- Property managers often offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Make a plan and pick the rightrental:
- Select vacation week and max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Stupendous Oceanfront Suite, Dogs are OK! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before reserving the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what is suitable for your vacation group.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, keep an eye out for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or applied to your contract.
Know before you go:
- We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
- To make sure that damages are not attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. text the rental manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to inspire more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
