Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

Get the most from your rental home budget:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • To get the best value, change your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Finding the best vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. 5th-floor oceanfront studio with AC, pool, & hot tub has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is right for your group.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.

Tips for your stay:

  • Get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Document any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to inspire more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
